Photo Update: Life

And life is good.

Dreadful Day

Excuse me while I complain for a minute, because I think I’ve earned it. From the hours of 7:00 am to 4 pm, I sold exactly ONE item: a pair of earrings for $5. I literally got bit by mosquitoes upwards of 20 times. I’m allergic. They swell to the size of silver dollars. Even though I sat under a canopy, I got sunburned. It was 95 degrees, the hottest weekend of the WHOLE summer is this very one. And the humidity? I don’t even wanna talk about it. So I’m kinda pissed. And frustrated and sad and tired and irritated.

You know what I hate? People who have NEVER handmade anything in their lives, yet think they have the right to say that $15 hat you’re selling is over-priced. Go die in a fire.

Did I mention I’m also really irritable?

I am going back tomorrow, but if I don’t sell anything by noon, I’m packing up and coming home, and making myself a strong drink.

Tomorrow’s the Big Day!

Bright and early in the morning, it’s time for the Flea Market. I’m trying not to be nervous or apprehensive, but it’s my nature. Anyway, I’ve spent the day putting on finishing touches and price tags, and gathering everything up to haul out tomorrow morning. Just finished all my football helmet hats today, too.

I think I’ve pretty much got everything stowed away. I’ll probably check a million times. Wish me luck!

Too Busy to Blog

But I love you guys, so here I am. I can spare some time while eating my blueberry oatmeal and having my first cup of coffee.

Here’s the deal. I need at LEAST ten hands to crochet everything I need to crochet in the amount of time I have. I have everything planned out, but it’s impossible. I need TEN hands. No, more, because I need some to constantly dump caffeine down my gullet.

I have until Labor Day to get it all finished. Labor Day weekend is the trial run for the flea market. I don’t know if I’ll even do well, but I know I’ve got to try.

So, what have I been making? Football themed mini top hats, football helmet hats, and mohawk beanies. I don’t even like football, but here in the south, especially on the TN, AL state line, where I live, it’s a huge deal. So Tennessee Vols and Alabama Crimson Tide anything is the flavor of the moment. Pictures to come.

I’m behind on reading and just about everything else. I have been watching The Killing while I work though, and it is amazing. If you love murder mysteries or are into true crime, do yourself a favor and go watch it.

Well, wish me luck.
