A real update will come soon, I swear! Working on LOTS of jewelry. But for now, enjoy the peace that is my back yard.
The above photo is an aerial view of a house my parents own. It was destroyed. Everything in that neighborhood was. It was horrifying and tragic. Seeing damage like that up close, seeing the people who have just lost everything, I can’t even describe it. I’ve never felt like that before. I guess because I’ve never had a reason to. My parents have sustained a massive financial loss, but our HOME is still standing, by pure luck, because if you go down the road a bit, there are houses without roofs, giant trees thrown around like twigs. One of the schools was obliterated. I am so thankful right now that I have a home, that my loved ones have a home, and that despite all this terrifying damage, the loss of life remains low (two people confirmed dead, about a dozen reported injuries).
I have a lot more photos, but I’m too tired to post them right now. Haven’t slept in over 32 hours.
If you pray, please pray for my hometown.
If you don’t pray, send all good vibes/thoughts this way.
The people here could really use it.
Headed this way. I’ve been in panic mode all day, dreading this. The stuff that hit Arkansas was devastating. It’s tracking up through Mississippi right now and headed right toward us.
It’s a lovely one!
